Job Description :
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding and induction: designing and managing the new starter experience from offer acceptance through to settled employment
- Offboarding: managing leavers professionally, including exit interviews, documentation, and handover processes
- Performance management: supporting managers with reviews, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary processes in line with South African labour law
- Staff wellbeing: implementing initiatives that support employee engagement and acting as a point of contact for people-related concerns
- Contracts: drafting and maintaining employment contracts that are compliant with the BCEA and LRA
- Policies and procedures: developing and maintaining an employee handbook and supporting management in applying policies consistently
- Recruitment support: writing job descriptions and advertising roles across relevant platforms
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
- A minimum of four to six years of generalist HR experience
- Solid knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the LRA, BCEA, and EEA
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver with minimal supervision
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Professional, discreet, and confident in dealing with sensitive matters
